DelCor Technology Solutions Hires Long-time Association Executive Jim Gibson to Lead New Chicago Operations

SILVER SPRING, MD — Fueled by 22 percent growth in the last two years, Dave Coriale, President of DelCor Technology Solutions, Inc., today announced the company’s expansion into the Chicago region.

“With this development, we are excited to be closer to our clients, colleagues, and friends in the Midwest,” he said.

DelCor is headquartered just outside Washington, D.C., home to the nation’s largest concentration of associations and nonprofits. The company’s move into Chicago answers the growing demand for its strategic IT services and embeds the company among the nation’s second-largest concentration of associations.

According to Association Forum, the “association for associations” in Chicago, the region is home to 1,600 organizations representing 27 million individuals—generating $10.3 billion in annual economic impact. Being geographically closer to such key decision-makers, even in the age of virtual work, is among the company’s reasons for expansion.

“Associations do like to mingle and talk shop in person. And I’m never one to refuse a local delicacy,” said the culinarily-inclined Coriale.

The Chicago expansion also marks the hiring of DelCor’s 50th employee, a milestone itself. Jim Gibson, PMP, will lead DelCor’s Chicago operations. Jim is the Former Director of Business Integration at the American Hospital Association and a current Association Forum member.

“After 13 years at AHA, we are honored that Jim has chosen to continue his association career at DelCor,” said DelCor’s Founder and CEO, Loretta Monterastelli DeLuca, FASAE. “Although DelCor has been working in the Chicago area for many years, Jim will be a tremendous asset in building our presence among local associations and solution providers. His visibility in the community—as well as deep knowledge of business analytics, process improvement, and enterprise project management—will be incredibly valuable to our team and our growing Chicago clientele.”

Organizations in Metro D.C., Chicago, and around the globe select DelCor to fulfill their missions, visions, and business goals. Guided by the DelCor IT Maturity Model for Associations & Nonprofits, the company’s consultants (“DelCorians”)—with two centuries of experience as association executives themselves—offer a complete array of strategic technology consulting, hosting, and support.

DelCor’s presence in Chicago is not entirely new. Since 2007, DelCor has maintained a Tier IV data center in the region with redundant backup to its D.C.-area data center, a distinguishing factor among competitors. Organizations of all sizes entrust their network operations and security to DelCor. The Channel Co. has consistently named DelCor among its CRN MSP Pioneer 250 in recognition of its innovative managed services.

Chicago-area association leaders will have an opportunity to meet Jim on July 13 at Association Forum headquarters in the DelCor-sponsored forum on IT maturity.

DelCor’s Chicago operations can be reached toll-free nationwide: 1.800.345.4228.
