Technology management consultant earns highest credential in association industry

ASAE has announced that Alex Cooper, PMP, of DelCor Technology Solutions has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE®) designation. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry.

“We are inspired by Alex’s achievements this past year—first becoming a certified project management professional and now earning the CAE,” said DelCor CEO Loretta Monterastelli DeLuca, FASAE. “His commitment to the industry, particularly as a young professional, is impressive.”

For a decade, Mr. Cooper worked in membership, marketing, and communications at professional and trade associations including the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society, the International Association of Forensic Nurses, the Restaurant Association of Maryland, and the Back Bay Association. He joined DelCor as a technology management consultant in 2017, leveraging his varied association management experience to aid DelCor clients in the selection, implementation, and management of specialized software such as association management systems (AMS).

The CAE has given me more tools to see trends and anticipate disruptions in an ever-changing world,” said Cooper. “I’ve been able to immediately apply critical knowledge and insights from my CAE studies to help association clients achieve their missions through better use of technology.”

In addition to ASAE, Mr. Cooper is a member of PMI, the Project Management Institute, which administers the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. He earned a B.A. degree in English from Suffolk University in Boston.
