September is Hunger Action Month in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia. The Capital Area Food Bank is asking everyone to take action to fight hunger in our community. They also asked us to contribute to their Blog Carnival, offering a variety of perspectives on hunger in our region. Our CEO, Loretta M. DeLuca, contributed some ideas on starting your own food drive. (DelCor has partnered with the food bank, our clients, and our colleagues for 11 straight years to organize the .org Community Food Drive.) Take a moment to read, educate yourself on hunger right here at our front door (or yours, because hunger exists everywhere in our country), and take action. As CAFB President & CEO Nancy Roman says, "Together, we can solve hunger."

In recognition of our support of our local community, via the food drive and other initiatives, DelCor has recently joined Community Profits Montgomery County, which recognizes businesses giving back to our local community. Read more about this initiative and our commitment to community.
