The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the nation's leading professional, credentialing, and scientific organization for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech/language/hearing scientists. Since its inception in 1925, ASHA has grown from 25 members to more than135,000.
We are proud to be associated with organizations like ASHA, which strives to provide real benefits to members, community, and society. DelCor has been providing technology management consulting to ASHA since 2007, when we were asked to help with AMS selection and implementation so ASHA could better communicate with its vast membership.
ASHA’s unique vision is to make effective communication, a human right, accessible and achievable for all.
By supporting its members with education, innovation, and a strong network, ASHA ensures that its members can provide meaningful results to their clients … a stuttering child, a stroke victim, or a person in need of a hearing aid.
What most people want—and deserve—is the ability to express themselves and their needs. ASHA members give them that ability. Audiology student Ahmed Alexander told ASHA, “A great passion of mine is seeing the joy that individuals receive when professionals help them to better communicate.” Meanwhile, Fernan Tolentino, a graduate student in speech-language pathology, said that he “really connected with the kids that I served.”
Such stories are proof that connections do matter. At DelCor, we believe in the power of such connections. That’s why we connect with organizations like ASHA to help them achieve their missions.
According to Mike Guerrieri, CAE, ASHA’s Former IS Director, “When we needed to accelerate our AMS implementation, we called DelCor because of their stellar reputation in the association community. The project management consultant assigned to us blended perfectly with our organizational culture and brought her considerable talent to bear on the challenge. Great successes followed.
“We could not have done it without DelCor as a trusted partner.”
