For the DelCor team, community is at the core of who we are. Community puts smiles on our faces and good feelings in our hearts.

We’re passionate about our participation in the Washington, DC, Chicagoland, and online communities. We also contribute our time and talents to our local community. Since 2003 we’ve sponsored a food drive to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank.

In 2011, we decided to deepen our involvement in local, food-related charities. We found our niche right around the corner in downtown Silver Spring at Shepherd’s Table.

Shepherd’s Table provides nutritious meals to our homeless neighbors. They haven’t missed a meal service since opening their doors in 1983.

We want to help them keep that promise to our local community. In October 2011 and again in January 2013, DelCor sponsored a BRiGHTT Night meal at Shepherd’s Table. While we served our homeless neighbors, we learned more about them and their fight for dignity. The evening also gave us a chance to bond over something other than IT. Our amateur serving skills even elicited a round of applause from the guests!
