We Believe in the Power of Associations (9/26/07)

September 26, 2007—We believe in the power of associations. That is, we believe in the power of our community to bring about change. We’re not being overly-confident – members of ASAE represent 287 million people across the globe. Imagine what that number of people could accomplish if we worked together to motivate them toward positive change.

Actually, we believe in more than just the power of associations. We also believe in the responsibility that associations have to lead the effort to make the world a better place. Many associations have heard the call from their membership to get involved and are already working aggressively towards change for causes that matter to their members. And it’s time for you to get onboard.

We believe in our responsibility as well. This is why every spring, DelCor works to replenish Washington, DC area food banks with our ".Org Food Drive". Last year, 37 organizations worked to collect more than three tons of food for DC’s hungry.

Now we’re taking it one step further. DelCor has been in the business of helping organizations connect for more than twenty years –connecting staff members to each other, associations to constituencies, and networks to users. Now we’re helping like-minded individuals and organizations connect with others that share their passions and causes by being the sole sponsor of ASAE’s Wall of Responsibility.

It’s time to stand up and be counted. Get involved and show the world the cause you’re passionate about. Inspire, connect, and bring about change. Visit http://sr.asaecenter.org to learn more and support ASAE’s upcoming Global Summit on Social Responsibility. With your support, we’ll be able to showcase the positive change that our community is making and inspire others to join us.
