User Groups and Conferences Net Real Results (9/26/07)

September 26, 2007—The TMA User Group Conference (TAUG) held in New Mexico, and the inaugural Protech Customer Conference held here in DC. DelCor is active in a number of AMS user groups, including iMIS (NiUG) and Avectra (AUG). We have recently sought membership in the gomembers group (NAUG) and understand that Euclid is also in the process of forming a user group as well.

Generally, participation in such groups/list serves/conferences can yield immense rewards insofar as they allow not only the opportunity to network and jointly trouble-shoot problems, but also provide an opportunity to build lasting friendships and a secondary support network among fellow users of a system. User groups and conferences also offer users the chance to give meaningful feedback to the vendors, and even influence the course of future product development to better reflect client needs. Does your AMS vendor have a user group, and do you (or someone in your organization) participate in it? DelCor strongly suggests that you find out - you have nothing to lose and much to gain by doing so.
