8th Annual .org Food Drive nets nearly 15 tons

For the 8th year in a row, DelCor sponsored the .org Food Drive to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank. During a four-week span in March and April, 35 organizations collected nonperishable food items and cash donations. The total haul on April 26 was equivalent to 27,220 pounds of food to help restock the food bank's nearly empty shelves. In response, food bank president and CEO Lynn Brantley remarked "It takes community organizations like [DelCor] to help us address hunger. We are grateful for their generous contribution." P.S. Since the drive ended, organizations have collected another ton of food, and several have been inspired to conduct their own food drives. Way to go, association community!
